The Icon Group has been a noted conference and international recruiting consultant since 1996. In 2005 – 2006 it also began medical tourism referrals to Asian hospitals for American patients. During Icon’s international travels it became more and more apparent to Icon’s principals that a growing number of international patients sought treatment in the United States, but were not fully aware of the choices that they had in U.S. healthcare providers and practitioners. At this writing only 50 U.S. healthcare providers had published international medical departments on the World Wide Web (www). Of the some 6,000 hospitals in America, fully 1,800 are rated as excellent. These hospitals support leading edge medical treatment and surgery. It became quickly apparent that more of these 1,800 excellent rated U.S. hospital had to make the international medical patient and their families aware of their leading edge medical specialties.

The purpose of GalaxyUSA is to provide a venue in which the international medical patient can benefit from being able to contact the international medical departments of many U.S. healthcare providers.
